The sixth installment in the slasher-film series will see original franchise writer and creator Kevin Williamson returning as an executive producer, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick penning the script and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett behind the camera.

Scream 6 will also be a direct sequel to Scream, which was released in 2022, and horror fans cannot wait to see what will happen next.

Newsweek has everything you need to know about Scream 6 including the release date, cast, trailer, plot, and more so you do not miss a thing.

Scream 6 is coming to cinemas a lot sooner than you might think and the good news is, you will not be waiting for Halloween to see it.

Scream 6 is set to be released in the United States on Friday, March 10, bringing the release date forward from Friday, March 31, 2023.

Just like 2022's Scream, Scream 6 will most likely be available to stream via Paramount+.

You can subscribe to Paramount+ for $9.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire year now.

Who Is in the Cast of Scream 6?

The entire main cast of 2022's Scream will be reprising their roles in the sequel, Scream 6.

This means audiences will see the return of Courteney Cox as Gale, Melissa Barrera as Sam, Jenna Ortega as Tara, Mason Gooding as Chad, and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy.

Hayden Panettiere, who starred in 2011's Scream 4, will be reprising her role of Kirby in Scream 6.

Joining the cast of Scream 6 are My Best Friend's Wedding star Dermot Mulroney, Ready or Not's Henry Czerny and Samara Weaving, and Spider-Man: No Way Home's Tony Revolori in currently undisclosed roles.

Unfortunately, one familiar face from the Scream franchise will be absent from Scream 6.

Neve Campbell, who has portrayed Sidney Prescott since 1996, will not return for Scream 6, making it the first time she has not appeared in the Scream movies.

Campbell announced she would not be returning following failed contract and salary negotiations with Paramount Pictures.

In a statement, Campbell said: "As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream. I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise. It's been a very difficult decision to move on. To all my Scream fans, I love you. You've always been so incredibly supportive to me. I'm forever grateful to you and to what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years."

Everyone in the subway car is dressed in costume, including some as Ghostface, making it difficult to distinguish who the real killer is.

Luckily, fans do not have too long until they find out.
