In New Jersey,owners rent outmore than 14,000 homes, apartments, condos, tiny homes and other unitsonAirbnb.

Airbnbs have become soprominent throughout the state thatan Airbnb tax was passed in the latest budget. Starting Oct. 1, Airbnbs (and other similar short-term rental services) must collect the state's 6.625 percent sales tax and a 5 percent hotel occupancy fee.

While they are scattered throughout the state, the municipalities where New Jersey Airbnbs arebountifulcoincides with the Garden State's two biggest real estate selling points: the Jersey Shore and access into New York City.

Here are the 25 municipalities with the most Airbnbs in New Jersey, according to data provided by the company as of July 1:

25. Belmar

Number of Airbnbs: 95

What you can get for around $100 a night: Priced at $95 a night, this two-floor apartment in the Jersey Shore borough of Belmar has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
