Ice Rink Kockelscheuer
Probably the most famous location for Luxembourg residents, the Ice Rink in Kockelscheuer offers skating classes, ice-skating fun, birthdays and also disco parties where you can actually add little lights on the skates - it looks so magical.

Ice Park Beaufort
The Ice Park in Beaufort is open from 12 November 2022 to 19 February 2023.
A beautiful ice rink, classes are also possible. Support for beginners (penguins) available.
Ice karting is not possible this season due to energy saving measures, but all the fun is waiting for you under a unique tent roof.

Roller-skating Track at Winter Moments, Mamer
From 25 November, the festive market of Commune Mamer around Mamerschlass offers visitors a roller-skating track suitable for both classic roller skates and inline skates. You can bring your own shoes (roller skates, inline skates) or you can rent them on site in sizes 26 to 47.

Ice Arena Metz
What is interesting about the Ice Arena in Metz is the events that are being organized.
For example there are snow storms, ice bowling, a laser show, pyjama parties (on ice?!) and more. Sounds... fascinating.

Patinoire Amneville
Amneville is well known to families in Luxembourg and France, but maybe it is not so known, at least to expat families, that there is also a patinoire (ice rink) apart from all the other family friendly activities and experiences.

Zweibrucken is known as a shopping destination with its host of fashion outlets. However, it also offers some nice activities for families and one of them is its Ice Arena. So why not combine your Christmas shopping or stroll together with some ice skating?

The cute town of Saarlouis is normally missed as most people drive to Saarbrucken. However, it is a wonderful town to visit. This year during its Christmas Market it also features an ice rink.

One of my family’s favourite festive ice rinks, and I am sure also yours, is at Trier Christmas Market.
As the team at Winterland Trier says:
"The new ice-skating season starts for you on Friday, November 25th, 2022 with the official opening of the 2022/2023 season. Lots of new things and lots of ice-related fun await you Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The end of the season is on January 31, 2023, until then we look forward to seeing you.’’

Traben-Trarbach On Ice
If you have been following TravelmatKanner for some time, you will know that I always have a special place in my heart for all the villages and small towns around the Moselle, especially during winter and the festive period. They are simply magical!
In Traben-Trarbach apart from the underground Christmas markets with the smells of mulled wine and cheese, and cinnamon and apple and many other delights, there is also an ice-skating rink.

In the smallest city in the world, Durbuy, together with the sparkle of joy of the Christmas lights, there is also an ice rink that welcomes adults and children (from 5 years old). And believe it or not, the Christmas market of Durbuy stays open until January 2023 so you have plenty of time to visit.
