Proposal[]
This article or section is a stub. You can help expand it. Comments: Need odds of proposal success/failure
In order to successfully propose, the player needs to upgrade their Workshop to level 5 and reach at least Lover relationship level with the character they want to propose to and gift them an Engagement Ring (either as a regular social interaction or during a date). However, if the player is proposed to by their partner, the workshop level requirement will be ignored.
After a successful proposal, the player and their lover are considered married immediately; the new spouse moves into the Workshop and will help the player with their workshop chores. Their relationship meter will also change. The player can choose to have a wedding ceremony if they wish to.
Though the player is allowed to date multiple people, they cannot have polygamous marriages, as only one spouse is allowed. If the player is in a romantic relationship with multiple characters, marrying one of them will revert all other lovers to Associate or Buddy level as if the player has gifted them a Dead Branch. The day after their engagement, the other lovers will send letters to the player commenting on their new marriage.
Pet Names[]
On a successful proposal, the player has the option to select a pet name for their spouse to address them as in daily dialogue. Every name can be selected regardless of the player character's gender. They may also set a custom name, though it will not be voiced like the others are. This can later be changed with a Sweetheart Cake.
Every marriage candidate can call the player the following:
- Honey (listed twice)
- Sweetness
- Princess
- Precious (listed twice)
- Darling (listed twice)
- Angel (listed twice)
- Pumpkin
- Beautiful
- Prince
- Handsome
In addition, every marriage candidate has several special pet names that are unique to them:
