Sakura Haruno: The Prodigy

Sasuke looked downwards at the four shinobi. He stared at Naruto's shocked face for a little longer, before he felt his gaze land on the pinkette. She had gotten taller, her hair had gotten longer, but today was the day, he would defeat her. "We are here to take you back, you idiot!" Naruto exclaimed and pointed a finger at him. "Home?" He asked and looked at the four, "Is he my replacement? You could do better, Naruto."

"I am stronger than I ever was back there. You would never know what it feels like! To be surrounded by unstoppable forces. To feel weak!" He exclaimed, "And that is why, today I kill my past and server any bonds I have left." "You spent so much time talking about bringing me home, maybe you should've trained more," he stated as he swung his sword down towards Naruto but was met with a kunai. "Sakura, your position is correct," he stated as he released Chidori stream. Sakura grit her teeth together at the shock, and quickly grabbed his arm, "This is the right way to use Chidori," she stated as she felt the familiar current go through her hand and let her hand go through his shoulder. She quickly kicked him away from her and looked around her.

Sai and Naruto seemed to be down for the mean while. She slowly walked over to the Uchiha and took pride in her work. "You talk about being strong, yet who is the one in the floor?" She asked as she looked down on him."I'll do whatever I have to do to haul you back to the hidden lead," she stated, "Chidori," she whispered and as soon as she was about to strike, she felt a cold hand around her arm. "Sakura, do not hurt my prized possession," Orochimaru stated as Sasuke stood on his feet. He held onto his shoulder and glared at the pinkette, "I've had enough of you, Sakura," he stated and slowly weaved some signs and put his hand in the air.

"I'm happy you made it back safe," Kakashi stated as he laid eyes on his daughter. "There were a few complications, father. I failed the mission," she muttered but felt his hand land on her head. "You did great Sakura. Good job," he said as he ruffled her hair. "I'm too old for this dad," she stated as she jokingly swatted at his hand. "You'll never be too old. You'll always be my little girl," he stated as he kept ruffling her hair. Sakura rolled her eyes and stepped back from her dad. "If you don't hurry, we're going to be late to Kurenai's dinner," she stated as she fixed her hair. "Ne, Sakura," he stated as he grabbed his vest and threw an arm over her shoulder, "When are we ever late?"

"It's my father's fault we are late, Asuma," she stated as she sat down next to Kakashi. "Well it's not my fault, my daughter's hair is very soft and irresistible to touch," he stated as he gave a grin. Asuma only gave a smile and turned to look at the pinkette, "Shikamaru has been talking about you. He says he has never met someone his age that could keep up with him in shōgi. Thank you for keeping him occupied," he stated and Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Sakura, since when do you play shōgi? And when did you start seeing Asuma's boy," he stated with a scary tone to his voice.

"Oh, about three months ago," she stated and shrugged not noticing the murderous look Kakashi was throwing at Asuma. "Now, Hatake, I would greatly appreciate it if you started eating your food," Kurenai stated as she set down the last place. "Have I mentioned your cooking is outstanding!" Sakura only shook her head at her father's antics but took in the scenery. Each week one of them would host a dinner and the four had to show up. To them, it was a way of making sure that the four had made it through the week. Laughter soon filled the room, and the night faded away.

Sakura did not like funerals. She bowed her head so low, her respect for Asuma was immense. He had been a part of her life and had seen her grow. She would miss him, but she was going torip the perpetrators to shreds.
